On July 23, Sequans Communications S.A, a provider of cellular IoT semiconductor solutions, announced the launch of its Iris series of advanced RF transceivers designed for software-defined radio (SDR) applications. The Iris series is specifically developed for critical mission applications in defense, aerospace, drones, vehicle-to-everything (V2X), routers, and other 5G systems, setting a new benchmark in RF performance, flexibility, and reliability. The Iris product line stems from Sequans' strategic acquisition of ACP at the beginning of 2025. ACP is a recognized leader in RF semiconductor innovation, having shipped millions of RF transceivers that support advanced applications such as 5G small cells, drones, and V2X systems. This acquisition combines Sequans' leading position in the IoT sector with ACP's deep RF expertise, providing next-generation RF solutions for SDR applications.
