Dongfeng Motor Group Undergoes Major Personnel Restructuring and Internal Reorganization
Recently, Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'Dongfeng Motor') has been undergoing a series of profound personnel adjustments and internal structural reorganizations to inject new momentum into the company's future development. On July 28, Dongfeng Motor's R&D Institute held a cadre meeting, officially announcing the changes in the leadership team, marking a new round of layout in technology innovation and R&D management. At the meeting, Zheng Hongyi, Minister of the Organization Department of the Dongfeng Motor Party Committee, announced that Chen Tao will serve as the Deputy Director of the Dongfeng Motor R&D Institute. This appointment not only reflects Dongfeng Motor's high recognition of Chen Tao's personal abilities and contributions but also indicates that the R&D Institute will undertake a more important strategic role in the future. Chen Tao's addition will undoubtedly bring new management concepts and technical perspectives to the R&D Institute, pushing Dongfeng Motor to achieve new breakthroughs in technological research and development. This personnel adjustment is not an isolated event but an important part of a series of internal reforms at Dongfeng Motor. Since 2024, Dongfeng Motor has initiated a wave of extensive, high-level personnel changes, all accompanied by significant developmental shifts for the company. For example, in March and April 2024, Zhou Yuping and Huang Yong, two former FAW system officials, were transferred to Dongfeng Motor, seen as important markers for leading Dongfeng Motor's transformation and signaling a counteroffensive. Their arrival has brought new management ideas and market strategies, effectively promoting the company's business development. As we enter 2025, the pace of personnel adjustments and structural reorganization at Dongfeng Motor has further accelerated. On July 22, Dongfeng Motor held an expanded leadership team meeting, officially announcing Zhou Feng as the Deputy General Manager and a standing member of the Party Committee. Zhou Feng, a veteran of Dongfeng Motor, has held key positions within the group since joining the Dongfeng Nissan Technical Center in 2004, accumulating extensive management experience and technical background. His appointment will further strengthen Dongfeng Motor's management team, providing strong support for the company's development. Meanwhile, the internal structure of Dongfeng Motor is also accelerating its reorganization. On June 26, Yipai Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. was officially established, with its sub-brands Yipai, Nano, and Fengshen forming a synergy to jointly promote Dongfeng Motor's development in independent new energy. This initiative not only showcases Dongfeng Motor's ambitions in the new energy sector but also lays a solid foundation for achieving its goal of 'returning overall sales to 3 million units by 2025, challenging 3.2 million units, with more than 1 million of those being new energy vehicles.' With the completion of five vice presidents and the leadership adjustments in key departments like the R&D Institute, Dongfeng Motor is gradually constructing a more efficient and collaborative management system. In the future, Dongfeng Motor will continue to adhere to an innovation-driven development strategy, increasing investments in technology R&D, product innovation, and market expansion, striving to achieve high-quality development goals. This personnel adjustment and structural reorganization is an important measure for Dongfeng Motor to respond to market changes and enhance its core competitiveness. With the new leadership team in place and the gradual improvement of the new structure, Dongfeng Motor is expected to occupy a more advantageous position in future market competition.
